Homeschool Program
If our class schedule does not work for your family, we do offer a homeschool program. Please register your child, and just enter homeschool in the comments section.
This year for our homeschool families, we will be using the Pflaum ‘Gospel Weeklies,’ supplemented with videos and activity suggestions. Weekly guidance will be sent out to family and when available, opportunities to participate in special events.
We hope you enjoy this special time sharing your faith with your child!
Our Faith Formation program is divided into two age-based groups.
Grades 1-6
For children in grades 1-6, we offer a weekly, age-based faith formation program that is based on the “Pflaum Gospel Weeklies” curriculum. This year, due to the pandemic, Grade 1 students are being offered the homeschool model, instead of the hybrid model as in the other grades. Our special Grade 2 Sacramental Program uses Pflaum’s Together in Jesus which covers both First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
Mrs. Maggie Hoagland, Director of Faith Formation for Children and a former “Teacher of the Year” in the Plainville School System, has taught as a catechist for more than 25 years, holds a Catechetical Certification in the New Evangelization, and has lived Cursillo. Maggie has been fortunate to have made pilgrimages to Lourdes, Fatima, Medjugorje, Rome, Krakow, Guadalupe and the Holy Land. Mrs. Hoagland provides innovative program support to the faith formation teachers so that all students receive an enriching faith-filled experience.
