St. Martha Floor Renovations Begin

There is a silver lining to all the events being postponed this Spring. We are starting the planned floor renovations in the lower church earlier than we expected. I announced last fall that testing revealed that some of the tiles contain asbestos, but there was no trace of it in the air. Since the flooring was damaged by flooding over the years, it is being safely removed by professionals and air quality will be tested again when they are done. Once the foundation is exposed, we will be able to finalize plans for refinishing the flooring in time for activities later this year.
