Our Plainville–Wrentham Collaborative Virtual Advent Giving Tree
This year we will use "virtual tags" instead of physical ones on our Advent giving tree. As in the past we will collect toys and clothing for My Brother’s Keeper and our St. Vincent de Paul Societies. Our Christmas gift program serves people in need in our towns and beyond.
• The website,
www.mybrotherskeeper.org/stmarywrentham, has a list of about 40 items that you can select from. On December 12th between 1:30 and 3:30 My Brother’s Keeper will bring a truck to St Mary Parking lot to collect the toys with little or no contact. Please keep the gift unwrapped.
• We are also in need of gift cards in $15 through $50 denominations from Shaw’s, Stop and Shop and Target to be given out in our communities through our St Vincent de Paul Societies and through the public health nurses in Plainville and Wrentham.
These may be placed in the collection baskets at Mass at St. Martha, the gift card box in the church at St. Mary, or in the mail slot at St. Mary.
• We are in the process of identifying items in need to support the residents at the Wrentham Developmental center.
We will publish an online link on our website when this is available.
Thank you again in anticipation of your generosity and care for our neighbors, our brothers and sisters in need in our community and beyond. Humble acts of serving the poor in this way extends Christ’s Kingdom.
Blessings to you and your families. For questions leave a message at the office or email Deacon Joe at [email protected].
