Mary's Prayer GroupEvening Learning to pray the Examen
Join us for the next Mary’s Garden Prayer Group on Tuesday, February 21st at 7:30 pm in St. Mary Church when Tom Lyman, Director at Rosary USA and the Rosary Museum, will teach us about the Examen. The examen is a prayerful method of “checking in” on how well we are living out our Christian faith on a daily basis. This method of examining our consciousness allows us to reflect on how we have invited God to be present in our day, how we have responded to His presence, and how we might grow in holiness. The examen is different from the examination of conscience that is a part of receiving the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. Making the examen a regular habit in our lives is a powerful tool for spiritual growth.
