Especially in our world today,
we need the powerful Scripture readings and prayers of the
Pascal Triduum which starts tonight: Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil. Please
download our Pascal Triduum worship program to aid you in participating in these powerful services in which Jesus takes our suffering upon himself so he can give us new life!
Thanks to your positive feedback on our outreach efforts (and technology
mostly cooperating), we are happy to be able to
Invite you to “attend” via internet an Easter Mass from each of our parishes: Sunday at 8:00 am from St. Martha church, and at 10:00 am from St. Mary church
All of our Holy Week and Easter services allow you to participate LIVE through
St Martha Facebook Page or
St Mary Facebook Page, and after each service ends the videos will remain there
and be posted on
www.pwc.church as well. That website is where you find the most
current information and spiritual supports, including the hours our churches are open.
Please check the website before you attempt to visit either church to be aware of any
last-minute changes.
This Easter, there are
Two Special Initiatives happening:
CHURCH BELLS RING EASTER SUNDAY AT NOON: Many Catholic churches and others will be ringing bells Easter Sunday at Noon to celebrate the Resurrection and our unity in Christ as we support each other at this time; we will share online the ringing of the bells in our Collaborative Parish of St. Martha.
POSE FOR A PIC WITH THIS EMPTY TOMB, PROCLAIMING HE IS RISEN! You’re invited to pose individually or as a family for a picture with this art showing the Empty Tomb, then share it on social media. You are encouraged to use the hashtag #AnEasterPeople as well as tag @bostoncatholic to show solidarity with all Boston Catholics celebrating Easter, showing how we are united in Jesus’ Resurrection as well as in our support of all those working to keep us safe this Easter.
As tonight we celebrate the Last Supper where Jesus instituting both the Most Holy Eucharist and the ordained Priesthood, please know that
the hearts of your priests ache for your being able to return to church, much as many of
your hearts ache to return to receiving Christ in the Eucharist. Still, none of our heart aches compare with the Sacred Heart of Jesus who took our sin and suffering to die and rise again
for love of each one of us, and He will raise us up again!
Have a
Blessed Triduum and Easter - and
keep in touch with us and your neighbors!
