There are many ways you can help a child in need of foster care. Here are just a few:
1.
Pray a special Novena to St. Joseph as a way to support our parish's foster and adoptive children and their families. A novena is a prayer said consecutively for nine days. A copy of the prayer can be found on the back tables at both St. Martha and St. Mary (take a copy) and
by clicking this link.
2.
Baby clothes are needed - Footed, one piece clothes in infant size 0 - 3 and 3 - 6 months are in great need by the Dept. of Children and Families. New or gently used donations may be dropped off in the bins next to the food pantry box at either church
or in the offices of St. Martha and St. Mary.
3.
Change the path of a child's life - Children placed in foster care do not fare well when they lose their support network. You as a couple or single adult could be the one(s) who allow a child to remain in his or her school and near friends by fostering in Wrentham or Plainville. Come meet Pascale Chrispin from the Department of Children and Families
at St. Martha Parish following the 8am and 10am Mass on March 17 to learn about becoming a foster parent.
