Blessing of Throats

Throats will be blessed after all Masses during the weekend of February 3rd and 4th at St. Martha and St. Mary. The Blessing of the Throat is a sacramental of the Catholic Church, celebrating the connection of St. Blaise & throat diseases. The minister uses two crossed candles to touch the throat while saying a special healing prayer
