Backpack Drive for Foster Children

"Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me…" Mark 9:37.

Many children in foster care are unable to bring any belongings with them to their new home. The St. Mary - St. Martha Friends of Adoption are asking parishioners to help them gather school supplies, toiletries, and toys so that they can fill backpacks for foster children. These backpacks will be donated to foster children in our area through the Department of Children and Families.

Beginning on August 18th, "trees" will be placed in both churches with apples bearing a tag that indicates an item needed. Please select a tag and purchase an item to be dropped off in the collection bins at the main doors of each church. Thank you for your help.
