All Catholics are united in two Lenten practices. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast for those ages 18-59. Only one full meal and two smaller meals should be consumed, unless health conditions preclude. For those of age 14 and above, Ash Wednesday and all Fridays in Lent, are days of abstinence where no meat should be eaten.
The palms distributed at churches are blessed, when we are finished with them they should be burned or buried. If you wish to dispose of old palms in preparation for new ones this year, you can place them in the containers at either church and we can burn them for you.
