Friends of Adoption and Foster Care (FAFC)
Please join us for our meetings supporting foster and adoptive families (kinship foster families, too!). Families meet once a month (usually on a Friday) at either the North Attleboro or the Franklin YMCA. Parents can share their experiences and helpful resources while kids are having fun and getting to know each other!! Please go to our website, FAFCma.org, for information about the next meeting. You can also email us with any questions—- [email protected]
Maybe you’d like to volunteer for Friends of Adoption and Foster Care. Volunteers conduct the Backpack Drive, the Diaper and Formula Drive, raise funds, and help plan and conduct activities and events. They also deliver donated items to the DCF offices and help raise awareness of the great need for foster parents (even short-term emergency fostering). For more information about FAFC, go to www.FAFCma.org or email us at [email protected] or call Jane Williams at 508-404-5667.

Dear Joseph, foster father of Jesus and protector of the
Holy Family, in you we contemplate a model of courage
and compassion. ~ Help us be more courageous in making
space for God in our lives, so we may be better
guardians of the vulnerable, especially the children and
their families seeking our care. ~ Help us to be more
compassionate, so we may be present and faithful to all,
but especially to those children whose lives are chaotic,
anxiety-filled and too often marred by violence. ~ Help
us to be strong and wise in our faith, yet tender and
open to love, as you were. May God grant that our families,
including our parish family, be places of communion
and prayer. Amen
