Baptism - St Mary

We welcome you on the joyous occasion of your child’s Baptism 
and look forward to celebrating this blessed sacrament with you!

Baptisms are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 1:30 pm at St. Mary Parish, Wrentham, and on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 11:30 am at St. Martha Parish, Plainville




The baptismal ceremony lasts about 45 minutes. You and your guests are invited to attend Mass at the church prior to the Baptism. There is a 12:00 pm Mass at St. Mary Parish, Wrentham, prior to the 1:30 pm Baptism and there is a 10:00 am Mass at St. Martha Parish, Plainville, prior to the 11:30 am Baptism.
Procedure for scheduling a Baptism:

• Complete the on-line Baptism Form
• There will be no Baptisms on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020
• Call the rectory office (508-384-3373) to register for the Baptism preparation class, which is held on the first Sunday of each month at 11:00 am in the St. Mary Parish Hall and to confirm your requested date for Baptism
• Parents and Godparents must attend the Baptism preparation class

If you are not registered parishioners, we invite you to become members of our parish family. As a community of faith, we offer many opportunities for you and your family to enjoy the richness of our parish through engaging Masses, faith-based programs, and social activities.

There is no charge for the Sacrament of Baptism at either parish, however, donations are welcomed as they help to offset the costs incurred in running the program.  Checks can be made out to St. Mary or St. Martha, depending on the church of Baptism and given to the minister of the sacrament on the day of the Baptism.
