Eucharistic Ministers (Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion) assist the priest in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Masses. They can also assist the priest by taking Holy Communion to parishioners who are homebound, in nursing homes or in the hospital.
This ministry is open to parishioners who are at least 16 years of age and who have received the Sacraments of Baptism, the Eucharist and Confirmation. Candidates should be knowledgeable about the mystery of the Eucharist and be reverent of the duty and privilege that they are performing.
Please contact the parish office (St. Mary: 508-384-3373 or St. Martha: 508-699-8543) or speak with one of the Priests if you would like to become a Eucharistic Minister.
