Come join us as we begin SOUP AND SCRIPTURE:
Communion in Christ in First Corinthians with Dr. John Clabeaux
Starting on
- Update -Class Delayed until March 18 - Update - March 11, immediately after the 4:00pm Mass on Saturdays we will get together at
St. Mary’s rectory conference room for a simple meal of soup and bread. Whether there are 3 or 30 of us, we will meet and eat. (I will bring the soup the first time. After that we'll take turns.) After our short meal we will carry on a careful reading and discussion of Paul's truly greatest letter: First Corinthians.
First Corinthians is the letter we have been reading in our Lent Sunday Masses. It contains the strongest expression of what it means to "be in union with Christ." We will end each session by praying Compline (Night Prayer) at 7:15.
At our sessions, John Clabeaux will make some opening remarks (not on video - but live). We will go directly to the text of First Corinthians and work out whatever is unclear. We will not meet during the Triduum, since we'll all be at those liturgies. But we will resume for several weeks during the Easter Season.
There is no need to register. Just come at 5:00 PM to St. Mary Rectory Conference Room
